Professional Development & Events - We are committed to providing high quality professional development opportunities for educators. Our professional development offerings integrate new teaching and learning strategies that support and accelerate learning, and prepare students for the 21st century. Achieving Family Friendly Schools - In partnership with Family Policy Council Northshore/Shoreline Community Health and Safety Network, and HumanLinks Foundation we offer training to improve academic achievement through effective family and community partnerships. Instruction & Assessments - The Washington Alliance assists in implementation of instructional strategies aligned with state standards and designs assessments that accurately measure students' progress toward meeting these standards. Readiness To Learn & Natural Leaders - Funded by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Readiness To Learn program's primary purpose is to reduce non-academic barriers to learning and ensure that all children are able to attend school prepared to learn. 21st Century Community Learning Centers - Funded by the office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, the 21st Century Learning Centers provide expanded academic enrichment opportunities for children attending low performing schools. These community learning centers offer homework support, tutoring and academic enrichment activities designed to help students meet local and state academic standards in subjects such as reading and math. Getting School Ready - Getting School Ready Neighborhood/School Transition Teams (GSR Teams) is a project to improve school readiness, supporting successful transitions into kindergarten for children and their families. Find out more here .
